The AI Assistant Connector
Connect the ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini you already use to your own site, and ask it to do the work.
You ask. Your site gets the work.
The AI Assistant Connector hooks the AI assistant you already use — ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini — into your own site. Once it is connected, you can ask your assistant to work with your site's real content: "Add this listing." "Update my bio." "Publish that market report."
It is not a chat widget for your visitors. It is a connection for you and your firm, so the AI you work with daily knows your site. And it is built on the open standard AI assistants use to connect to tools, so the list of assistants it works with grows on its own.
What you need
Two things, before the connector page will call itself ready:
- Your custom domain live. The connector is tied to your own address. We build the site; the AI subscription is yours. If your domain is not connected yet, the settings page says so and points you at the wizard — see Custom domain.
- Your own AI subscription — ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
Directors connect. The connection is set up from Website Settings → AI Connector, which only your firm's Director sees. The connection carries the Director's own permissions.
Connect in three steps
The settings page shows your site's own connector URL, with a Copy button, and the same three steps:
- Add a connector. In ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, open the connectors / integrations settings and choose to add a connector (custom). The connector page in your site's settings walks you through yours.
- Paste your connector URL. Paste the URL from Website Settings → AI Connector as the server URL and continue — nothing else to type.
- Approve. Your browser opens. Sign in to your own site and click Approve. Your assistant is now connected to your content.
What the connection carries
- Your login's permissions. The assistant can only do what the account that approved it can do — and it only sees the tools that account is allowed to run. Connect from the account whose work you want it to do.
- One site only. Yours. No other firm's content is reachable, full stop.
- Not visitor-facing. Nothing about the connector appears on your website.
One caution from the page itself: for security, administrator accounts cannot connect. If you are signed in as an administrator, the page refuses the connection and says so — sign in with your Director login and try again.
What it cannot do
The limits are the trust story:
- It can't delete anything.
- It can't change your design or layout. A Director's assistant can update brand text, such as your tagline, and asks you first.
- It can read your leads and change their status. It never sends anything to a lead.
- It can only do what your login allows.
- New work starts as a draft.
- No AI is perfect, so you are the last check.
- One site only. Yours.
If it is not ready
The settings page checks itself and shows one of three states:
| What the page shows | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Ready | Your custom domain is live; your connector is ready to use | Continue with the three steps above |
| Map your domain first | Your domain is not live yet | Finish Custom domain — you can still copy your connector URL in the meantime |
| Not ready | The connector could not register just now | Reload the page and try again |
And one quirk worth knowing: if your assistant says it cannot find the site right after you set it up, wait one minute and connect again.
