Bios and the Team Directory
A real profile for you and each teammate — bio, specialties, and how to reach you.
The team directory gives every agent, director, and staff member you add a real profile — bio, specialties, and how to reach you. When a prospect looks you up, or asks an AI about commercial advisors in your market, your profile is the page that settles who you are. On a team site, the whole roster reads as a structured directory — not a grid of headshots. One bio takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
Where to find it
In your dashboard, open Team Directory in the left menu and click Add New. Who can edit whose profile is simple: an advisor sees and edits their own profile; the Director sees and edits everyone's. Add a teammate with Add New; open an existing profile from the list to update it any time.
Step by step
- Fill in the profile. The title is the person's full name. The required pieces are the name and a Bio Draft — paste your existing bio, a resume, or rough notes; rough is fine. Recommended: email, phone, title, the year you started practicing, and a headshot. Bonus: designations, areas of expertise, social media, and profile links. Your headshot carries in from your site's intake if it was provided there.
- Generate. Click Generate Professional Bio. Optionally add notes or a resume in the same step — anything about your background helps.
- Review. The four written pieces land in the profile, all editable. Adjust anything, then publish. Come back any time — a new designation or a new market is a two-minute edit and a regenerate.
What you get
The AI writes the four pieces that travel together, plus the search engine title and description — six outputs in all:
- a one-liner bio
- a short bio
- the full bio
- your philosophy — a quote about how you work
The pieces are written together so they never contradict each other, and every field stays editable. Bios follow the "Who runs this site?" setting described below.
Good to know
- Your bio answers feed your About page, so your story stays consistent across the site.
- Every teammate gets the same treatment. Nobody has to write anyone's bio by hand unless they want to — each person (or the Director) runs their own profile through the same three steps.
- Profiles you keep elsewhere — your directory listings on the national portals — can be linked from your profile, giving people one home base to verify against.
- One setting flips the whole site's voice. In Website Settings, under the Identity tab, the answer to "Who runs this site?" — just me, or a team — decides whether the site speaks as "I" or "we." Every bio follows it. Only the Director sees that menu.
